About Polite Tools

Polite Tools is a collection of free online tools for working with PDFs, images and everyday files. The idea is simple: the tasks people do most often — merging a few PDFs, shrinking an image for an upload form, turning photos into a document — shouldn’t require an account, a subscription, or handing your private files to someone else’s server.

Your files never leave your device

This is the part that makes us different. Nearly every other “free online tool” uploads your file to a server, processes it there, and sends it back. That means your contracts, IDs and financial documents sit on a stranger’s computer, at least for a while. Our tools run entirely inside your browser using modern JavaScript and WebAssembly. Your file is read and processed locally — nothing is ever uploaded. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads and the tools keep working.

Free, without the catches

Every tool is fully functional with no watermarks, no daily limits, and no locked “premium” features. We keep the lights on with unobtrusive advertising rather than paywalls, so the tools stay free for everyone.

Fast by design

Because there’s no upload and no download of your file to a server, most jobs finish in seconds. Your device does the work directly — often faster than waiting on an upload queue somewhere else.
